Shore Acres Inn & Restaurant is a seasonal venue, open generally between Easter and Thanksgiving, located in North Hero, Vermont in the heart of the Lake Champlain Islands. Though it’s surrounded by the lake, it is easily accessible by car. Situated on 46-acres of rolling hills, the property features panoramic views of the Green Mountains. Ideal for a weekend destination event, this venue allows couples and their guests to admire the natural beauty that the State of Vermont has to offer.

Facilities and Capacity

Shore Acres Inn & Restaurant offers couples a one-of-a-kind view of Vermont and 1800-feet of private lakeshore to enjoy while celebrating. The property is comprised of a restaurant, twenty-three (23) rooms, a farmhouse, and the seasonal, outdoor Bravo Zulu Lakeside Bar and its retractable awning. Depending on your vision, this venue can accommodate both indoor (via the restaurant) and outdoor event spaces (via a tented event or at Bravo Zulu Lakeside Bar). When the festivities draw to a close, you and your guests can rest in any of the twenty-three (23) rooms on site. Nineteen (19) of these are located directly on Lake Champlain and the remaining four (4) are in the garden house just a short walk away. The Farmhouse can hold approximately two or three families. During your stay, you and your loved ones can admire the scenery while utilizing the Adirondack chairs and fire pits on the property’s lawn. To avail of all the lake has to offer, there are boating, canoeing, swimming, and fishing opportunities. There are also a number of nearby hikes, and you can take day trips to apple orchards, wineries, and the Ben & Jerry’s factory.

When hosting your wedding at Shores Acres Inn & Restaurant, the experienced staff will be there to support you on the day. Shore Acres offers tented weddings and restaurant buy-outs (afternoon and evening) for both the main restaurant and the Bravo Zulu Lakeside Bar. During your event, you and your guests can avail of the well-stocked bar services. For the main restaurant buy-outs, Executive Chef Dan Rainville and Sous Chef Jeanette Stevens will prepare scrumptious reception meals for up to 85 guests and are able to accommodate all dietary needs. The Bravo Zulu Lakeside Bar also can host up to 85 guests for an event that craves an outdoor venue with a more casual and festive environment. Both the main Shore Acres Restaurant and the Bravo Zulu Lakeside Bar offer lakeside views that allow guests to appreciate the scenery of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains of Vermont for a truly unique wedding experience.
